A friend commissioned me to make a bookshelf to match one already in her apartment. The materials were pine, all from Home Depot. April - May 2012.

Rabbets and dados (thanks, high school wood shop vocabulary!) in the upright pieces. The table saw is acting as a work bench, and I used a router to make the grooves. |

I don't have the equipment to mill boards, so I clamped these together in order to get them as flat as possible before assembly. |

Okay, for real this time. I had to do the center boards first, then the outer boards, due to clamp shortage. You can see the biscuits sticking up for where the facing will be attached. |

Clamping facing pieces to the front end of the shelves (for strength). I borrowed more clamps from the Berkeley Tool Lending Library (who were, happily, temporarily housed at the time in the building in which I work, since their building was being rebuilt). |
